Our Registered Massage Therapist
Jenny Chambers is the owner of Stony Lake Spa, which operates at historical Viamede Resort. She graduated from Laurentian University in 1995 with a Bachelor of Physical and Health Education.
Jenny became a Registered Massage Therapist with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario in 1998. She has owned a health clinic called Century Health (Centuryhealth.ca) in Peterborough since 2007. She is a Certified Personal Trainer & Yoga instructor and believes in the value of educating clients on rehabilitation exercises and encouraging an active lifestyle with fitness at any age. Jenny is a Craniosacral Therapist and uses both gentle mobilizations and deep tissue treatments to encourage the healing process with each client. She teaches Yoga at Juniper Island on Stony Lake, loves SUP and believes in the healing energy of Stony Lake!

The RMT will arrive at your cottage/room 15 minutes prior to your appointment. An appropriate space will be decided by you and the RMT. You will complete an electrontic health history form, which the RMT will review with you and will propose a personalized treatment plan based on your massage therapy experience, assessment findings and your treatment goals.

You may undress to the level of your comfort. Registered Massage Therapists are required to cover/drape you with a linen so that they uncover only the area on which they are working. The RMT will always leave the treatment area so that the client is able to get onto/off the massage table in complete privacy. Consent to re-enter the treatment area is required by the RMT from the client.

If you prefer to have silence, you may request so at the beginning of the treatment. The Registered Massage Therapist will, however, require feedback relevant to the treatment during the massage.
